Ragna looked up, "We were able to retrieve one thing though my bride." He uncovers the gray hedgehog, asleep in his arm. She looked down at it, and her eyes opened wide. "A child? Where are the parents?". "We dont know Sensei, we could not find anyone else besides this one..What are we to do with him?". She picked him up and held him. The hedgehog opened his eyes, and his blue gaze met hers. "We are to keep him as our own, and raise him as we would our own." Ragna looked up with concern. "But, Sensei, pardon me, but it is unheard of of ANY ninja clan to harbor an outsider, especially one of a different species!".
She turned to him. "I understand your concern, but, i sense something about this one. Something I'm not sure of. Fate tells me this one was left behind for a reason. It tells me you FOUND him for a reason. Is it not ironic that the Arachnid Ninjas also searched the area, yet with no avail? But when the Chameleons searched the same area, you found this one. Fate tells me, this one was left behind, found by us and brought here, to learn the ways of the Shinobi, and to be our next hope in slowly defeating the Eggman Empire."
"I see now..it is all tied together..if this be your will Sensei, then we will abide." replied Ragna. "Trust me Ragna, this one will in time reveal himself, and when he does, hope will light the rest of our path. Go now, get you some rest, i will handle this one". "yes Sensei" Ragna bowed once, and left the chamber. The Bride walked outside with the child in her arm. It was said that the one with the wind beneath his feet, and the body smoked in gray would one day appear. The Hedgehogs were known for their speed and agility. This, i believe, is the one." She stared up at the stars. The baby hedgehog stretched his tiny arms to the moon. She looked up and noticed that the moon was tinted with a glowing red. "It appears that tonight is the yearly Lunar Eclipse. A sight only seen from time to time." She looked back down at the hedgehog, and smiled at him trying to grasp the moon in his tiny fingers. "hmhmhm. I see you wish to hold the moon between your palms. Hmm....Then this shall be your name. Eclipse the Hedgehog, I welcome you to the way of the ninja." The baby hedgehog smiled and let out a laugh. "hm..i see you take kindly to the name. Then it shall be, Eclipse." She remained outside for a few more minutes, then retreated back inside as the baby hedgehog, Eclipse, fell asleep.
