Fire raged in the distance. As Eggman's robot legion swept through the nearby village, the Hedgehog villagers ran for their lives.
"CURSED! Where's the emerald? AAAGGGHHH!" exclaimed Eggman. A squad of Swatbots swept the area, but turned up empty handed. "ERG! FINE! Back to the base! We will continue our search later. Let the Freedom fighters clean up this mess, it's theirs now!" Eggman led his legion away from the desolate ruins of the village.
In the distant forest, two Chameleons sat watching. The first was a light blue color, with green stripes that ran down his back, and had grape colored eyes. The other, a dark green color, a scar along his belly, and pumpkin orange eyes. Both, were of the Shinobi clan, a secret ninja clan full of Chameleons (i believe they are in one series of Sonic Universe). "Darn Eggman again" said the first. "Lets go and examine the ruins, see if we can find any survivors" suggested the second. "Agreed, lets go." They approached the village and began searching. They scavenged through the burned down homes and cottages, but with no avail.
"Oh man...I think everyone ran off" the first one said as he rummaged through the remains of a house. As he pulls back a piece of wood, he catches the glimpse of gray fur. "hm?" He continues to pull the wood away, and he uncovers a surprise. "Hey! I found something!" In the corner of the ruins laid a tiny gray hedgehog curled up and whimpering. "whoa! A child!" exclaimed the second one. "Yea, we should bring him back and ask the bride of the clan what to do" replied the first. He slowly picked up the child. The child had pure blue eyes and 3 frocks of hair like a fox. "who would leave this little thing behind?" he asked. "I dont know, but lets head back before Eggman shows up again!" "Agreed, lets return". They both then vanished into the forest with the mysterious baby gray hedgehog, and returned to their home.
